So Busy

I am so sorry I have been away so long. This has been such a busy season for me. As a Hairstylist I have a very busy life this time of year but it is starting to wind down. We started re doing the outside of our home on President Day weekend. It was a mess, with such cold spurts many plants had to be cut back to the ground. We got rid of ALL the mulch and put down rock we also resodded half our back yard. I painted our gust bath this pretty soft color and I am still doing touch ups I think I will be touch up painting for the rest of my life.

Starting the New year with Projects

After taking down the Christmas tree and putting everything away I started a little project. I had an old wood bookshelf just sitting in the garage so I decided to paint it and hang it on my patio wall.Now i can put all my little potted plants up high so my dogs( Samantha & Dakota) wont eat them. Yes I said eat them. For some reason my pups love dirt so they will eat a plant to get to the dirt and then eat the dirt.

My Blog

I never thought I would use my blog for religious or political reasons. After reading some of the blogs out there that were not intended for anything but DIY and decorating but some how managed to sneak politics and religion into them I would like to add my thoughts and opinion. I am what I will consider an moderate Democrat I completely believe in helping the less fortunate and in social programs such as public education public libraries Social Security and so on. I also believe that people need to learn how to take care of themselves and many programs do not teach them to do so, they make them to dependent on those programs. Now for the religious part I am not a religious person at all and I hope never to be one. I once believed in god and all that and I found that it made me a hypocrite and unmoral. I live my life giving as much as I can, never hurting any living creature that includes people, I live my life trying to tell the truth although I will admit sometimes I don't. I don't steal or cheat and I love deeply. So why would anyone think that an agnostic or an atheist is not moral? I can give you the answer. Because religion makes you judge and condemn it doesn't change with time it doesn't allow a place for ALL good human beings That's why it has no place in my life. Because without religion I am very accepting loving kind and yes Moral. If kindenss and acceptance were religions I would be a preacher.

My heart is aching for Edie

Recently Edie from Life In Grace purchased a new home with her husband and beautiful family. They did an amzing kitchen reno and were gracefuly decorating the rest of their home in graceful Edie style. I just read they lost their home due to a fire. I am so sorry. Edie and her family will be in my thoughts.

So now I have a Framed bathroom mirror and a plate rack and next is to paint and modify our kitchen Cabinets and bathroom cabinets wow the power of being a woman. The picture of the wood pieces is what I am using to build the rack

I am great with scissors a blow dryer and paint but computers i just cant find the time and I guess i don't care all that much. But haven forsake a picture being crooked on a wall I am obsessed until it is fixed. Go figure

Hi everyone Sorry but this is season in my business and I have to work work work if I want to eat eat eat LOL anyway this is what I have been doing and a few pics of what I am working on. I have been cooking ALOT! And eating ALOT! I also am showing a picture of a great xmas gift I received from my dear friend Kathy I love mosaic and she got me an awsome piece! Thanks Kathy.
